So, TC now tells the world that Chabad, and Temple Mount Folks and Bibi are all together behind the current attack on Iran because they yearn for the Temple's rebuilding.
My oh my, Tucker please! Say it ain't so!
Chabad's Temple building is accomplished by doing mitzvos which will generate Divine Favor and a miraculous rebuilding of the Temple and a utopian end of history. It has nothing to do with wars or any material forces.
Among those, already fractured movements, who believe ascent to the Temple Mount to pray is permitted and a positive act pre Messiah there are a many that see it as just a good deed and some others who link it to hastening the messianic age. Maybe a handful of them seek to do something of a physical nature to Al Aksa,
Bibi is essentially a secularist,* who thinks Israel is in danger from Iran and got an American tag team war to protect it.
Tucker's patch comes from group two and has nothing at all to do with the other two.
In general, none of these forces has anything to do with the other.
I understand that Candace sees the "tunnels under Lubavitch controversy" of some years back as linked to, well, something. Who knows what? The controversy, which peaked in 2024, was an attempt by Chabad youth to force an expansion of the 770 shul. What his has to do with anything, well, only CO knows!
Tucker, who has made many strides since he wrote for the neo Con, Weekly Standard, in the 1990s, believes conspiracy stuff a bit too quickly. You'd think he could hire a serious research staff.
Tucker has articulated much to offer the "Right" -- an alternative to Adam Smith and Nock-ian economics and to suggest that our endless wars aren't great. He gets good grades for advocating trad morality with some sense of the importance of Christianity. On immigration we can't give him a passing grade since (although very contradictory at times) his opposition to open borders is based on the safe position of legality and not other important matters.
But, a generally good bag of tricks.
But, my goodness, he has got to stop baseless claims about Chabad, Temple Mount-ers and Bibi's bombs. That should be left to Candace who might well link it all to Mrs Macron being a Mr.
PS -- He also has to stop this talk of Greater Israel. I'd say there is tiny sliver of extreme right wing Religious Zionism which speaks in such terms.
But easily 97 % of Israelis would leave the West Bank today if they felt the Palestinian state thus created would not threaten them. This fear may be true or might not but has nothing to do with a "Greater Israel" theology.
* I don't think secularist is a completely fair as a depiction of Bibi. There is little of the old school crusading Zionist secularism as in say, Mapam. As many non Orthodox in Israel today he practices many mitzvos and harbors much affection for Torah.
